We've been involved in the starting and training of cutting horses for over twenty years, many of which have gone on to become Champions or Finalists of various Cutting Horse Futurities as well as other Limited Aged Events.

In Training Our goal is to establish each individual's learning curve and physical abilities so to maximize their training potential. Our philosophy is to maintain a healthy balance between schoolwork (arena training) and field trips (riding over the ranch). We frequently ride our horses over 350 acres of East Texas rolling hills and streams, through herds of cattle and occasionally wild deer and hogs, often times encountering obstacles which go against a horse's natural instinct. In these crucial moments, the manner in which a horse is handled to overcome his fears could open or close the door to success in the training arena.

We use Brangus or Brangus Baldy replacement heifers to train our cutting horse futurity prospects. These heifers have a strong herd instinct, which we believe trains a better cowhorse. Our objective is to teach a horse to read and work a cow in an individual style that is conducive to keeping the remainder of the herd calm, while optimizing the horse's individual eye appeal.

We treat each horse that is within our training program as if they were our own. We have excellent facilities, including 140 foot round pen, large 12 x 24 stalls, and safe, spacious turnout paddocks.
